Sarah Anderson

Loudoun County Public Schools
Librarian
John Champe High School
Sarah has been a librarian at John Champe High School since 2014. She previously served as the librarian at Buffalo Trail Elementary for 3 years. In her two very different roles as an elementary and then a high school librarian, Sarah has been passionate about helping students and teachers use digital resources and technology to make learning more efficient and effective...as well as MORE FUN! Sarah especially loves talking and teaching about visual design and media creation. Additionally, she is very interested in how technology can be used to support and enhance reading promotion and reader's advisory for her students! Sarah is passionate about building a welcoming and inclusive community in the library, both in person and virtually, as well as increasing opportunities for students to explore their creative and critical thinking skills. In recent years, Sarah has used her personal love of crafting to enhance Maker programs in her library. In addition to her work as librarian, Sarah serves as the Inter-club Council Coordinator and the Color Guard Director at Champe. She is also proud to co-sponsor Champe’s Project Lit Community Chapter and looks forward to continuing their work to encourage literacy and love of reading in the Champe community.
